Meet the Icons: Sienna Saveska & Bronte Trew, two rising stars in the A-League Women

Sienna Saveska commands the midfield with confidence and skill and proudly represents the Young Matildas. Bronte Trew is a sharp-shooting striker with an eye for goal. Together, they are the latest faces of the Rockwear ICON Series, showcasing the future of Australian women’s football.

Q: Who introduced you to football?
A: "My inspiration to play would probably be my whole family. They’ve always loved watching football, and I grew up around it. It was just always there" – Sienna

Q: What’s your favourite part of the game?
A: “Definitely just being on the field—being able to enjoy yourself and express yourself. And the connections you make, on and off the field—that’s what makes it all worth it” – Bronte

Q: What’s next for Sienna?
A: “Right now, I’m focused on growing as a player. Long-term, I’ve always dreamed of playing overseas and representing my country. After my time with the Wanderers, I’m moving to a new club and stepping into that next chapter. I want to play in the A-League for a couple more years, then eventually head overseas. That’s always been a dream of mine—and hopefully win wherever I am.”

Q: What’s next for Bronte?
A: “My mindset is all about growing and staying grounded, pushing myself every time I step on the field. Right now, I’m focused on continuing to succeed and grow as an individual. But I’m also dreaming big. Like Sienna, I’ve got my sights set on playing overseas and one day pulling on the jersey to represent my country.”
