Meet Monique, a passionate surfer and skateboarder who finds joy, meditation, and a sense of freedom through her favourite activities. Monique's journey with surfing and skating is not just about the thrill of the ride; it’s a celebration of fun, overcoming challenges, and embracing a lifestyle full of movement. 

Q: What role do surfing and skating play in your life?
A: Surfing and skating have been such a big part of my life. They make me happy and bring me so much joy. They’re like a form of meditation for me. 

Q: How do you view exercise in general? 
A: Exercise is so much fun, and you can have so much fun with it in different ways. You don't have to go to the gym each day to move your body. It’s about finding activities that make you feel alive and joyful. 

Q: What do you find most challenging about skateboarding? 
A: I'd have to say fear. Fear holds people back. Don’t let fear hold you back. It's holding you back from trying something new that you could be great at and have so much fun doing. 

Q: What advice would you give to someone who wants to learn to skate? 
A: Just grab a board and do it. No one is going to start as a professional. Just get up each day, have fun with it, and be consistent. Each day, give it a go. 
 
Q: What’s your philosophy on learning new skills, especially in skating? 
A: It’s not about perfection. It's about progress. And it's about having the most fun you can whilst doing it. Focus on the journey, celebrate small victories, and enjoy every moment.
 
Q: Any final thoughts for the Rockwear community? 
A: Embrace the activities you love, overcome your fears, and keep moving forward. Whether it's surfing, skating, or any other form of exercise, the key is to have fun and keep pushing forward. Join me in celebrating a life full of movement and joy with Rockwear!
